The Cambridge Teen Health Survey and the Cambridge Middle Grades Health Survey (Grades 6-8) are administered to Cambridge high school and middle school students every two years, alternating between high school and middle school each year. The surveys are conducted by the Cambridge Prevention Coalition, the Cambridge Public Schools, and Cambridge Public Health Department in collaboration with Social Science Research and Evaluation, Inc. The questionnaires are designed to gather information on some of the important issues facing youth in Cambridge, such as substance use, violence and safety, sexual behavior, mental health, and dietary behavior. Survey procedures are designed to protect the privacy of students by allowing anonymous and voluntarily participation.
